Meet The Team

Kerry, Director

As the Director of Trust Rescue, my journey has always been about service and compassion. I’ve spent my entire adult life encouraging others to volunteer and give back, driven by a heart that beats strongest for the underdog. Whether it's rallying a team to save the forgotten dogs of the Rio Grande Valley or welcoming a new foster dog to crash on the couch, I find purpose in every wagging tail. My family, my biggest supporters, share this passion with me, though they often lose track of our ever-growing furry household. I believe in the power of teamwork—bringing together people from all walks of life to create something extraordinary. From the South's toughest situations to the North's happiest homes, it's the friendships and bonds formed along the way that make every mission worth it. I may never sit still for more than five minutes, but that's just part of the joy in this work. Every dog saved is a story of resilience and hope, and I’m honored to play a small part in their journey to a better life.

Lenny, Treasurer/Facilities

I am a lifelong dog lover and owner, originally from New Jersey and somehow found my way back home after serving 23 years in the Air Force. I am safely home for good and work as a government employee in defense contracting where my team passionately serves our brave men and women in uniform. My wife, who happens to be the director of Trust Rescue, refers to me as the keeper of the keys... the one who shares the good news..."Yay! We got a grant!" And the bad news... "Sorry, we cannot fund that." I make sure we stay in the black and get the many bills paid. Although I fancy myself as a comedian, I take my role very seriously (please don't tell  me I'm not funny) and know that my efforts, like the efforts of all Trust Rescue volunteers, are saving the lives of so many at risk dogs. Having served in many war zones I have seen the best and the worst in people- and dog rescue certainly tops the list in bringing out the best in people.

GUINEVERE, Volunteer Coordinator

Hi, I’m Guinevere and I’m the Volunteer Coordinator at Trust Rescue. I love seeing how the one goal of helping dogs who were once facing death start a new life brings folks of all different backgrounds together for a fantastic cause. Families, individuals, retirees - everyone is welcome and has a place with us! Along with rallying the troops, I make sure everyone is treated with kindness and treats  each other with kindness. As the rescue's self proclaimed biggest cheerleader, I also oversee the team who is responsible for doing the background checks on our applicants. Outside of Trust Rescue, I have been with my company for over 20 years, have two wonderful dogs at home and love singing while I’m in the kitchen cooking!

Molly, Advocate and Development Lead

Meet Molly, Lead of Development and Advocate for the dogs. A self-proclaimed dog enthusiast with a heart of gold! Born and raised on the East Coast, Molly grew up surrounded by furry friends - her family always had at least three dogs at home. This sparked a lifelong passion for canine companionship, leading her to share her life with a total of 11 rescue dogs over the years (currently enjoying the company of three loyal companions!).

When she's not busy spoiling her furry friends, Molly enjoys traveling, glamping, curling up with a good book, stitching, and taking leisurely walks with her loyal companions.

As a dedicated team member at the Rescue, Molly is entrusted with the role of following  the journey of each dog from intake to their forever home, ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve. She also collaborates with partner organizations to make a greater impact.

If you can't find Molly, just follow the trail of wagging tails - she's likely surrounded by her beloved dogs, soaking up the joy and love they bring to her life!

NaomI, Medical Records Team Lead

My name is Naomi and I am a volunteer at Trust Rescue, where I dedicate my time and passion to ensuring the best care for the dogs awaiting their forever homes. As the team leader for medical records, I ensure that every dog's health information is meticulously documented and maintained. I manage the team responsible for making these records accessible online for adopters, facilitating a transparent and informed adoption process.
In my role as the vet liaison for foster dogs, I bridge communication between Trust Rescue and veterinary professionals, ensuring that each foster dog receives the necessary medical attention and care. Additionally, I lead a team tasked with prepping and inventorying medications and preventatives, guaranteeing that all dogs have what they need to stay healthy.
Volunteering at Trust Rescue brings me immense joy and fulfillment. My goal is that my deep love for animals and commitment to their well-being shine through and that I am making a meaningful difference in the lives of the dogs and the rescue community.

Krista, Social Media Team Lead

My name's Krista, and I volunteer with Trust Rescue because I'm passionate about helping dogs in need to find their forever homes. As our social media team leader, volunteering with Trust Rescue allows me to combine my love for animals with my professional experience in digital marketing for the greater good of saving dogs. Social media is more than just fluff — for us, it’s a very powerful tool that can help our rescues find a loving home. Our social media team captures photos and videos, designs graphics and create engaging content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook in effort to get more dogs adopted. Being able to document a dog's journey —  from rescue to rehabilitation — is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a Trust Rescue volunteer.

I volunteer because it is one way I can give back to dogs, who give humans so much without expecting anything in return. Trust Rescue gives dogs a second chance at life, and I'm proud to be a part of that process. An added bonus is witnessing the immense joy our rescues bring to their newfound families.

connie, Foster Coordinator and Payment Office Manager

Connie is the dedicated Payment Office Manager & Foster Coordinator at TrustRescue. From the time she was young, Connie has always loved animals. When she told her father that she wanted to be a teacher, he asked, “Are you sure you don’t want to be a veterinarian?”

As Payment Office Manager, Connie oversees the final adoption process, from microchip registration to closing. She uses her eye for detail and procedural knowledge to help that process run smoothly.

As Foster Coordinator, Connie oversees the placement of dogs into temporary homes, ensuring that each animal receives the care and attention they need while awaiting their forever homes. If there’s a dog in need of a foster home, Connie will figure out where it can go! Connie puts this puzzle together weekly, armed with her sticky notes! Organizing is her jam, and she just loves this part of her role.

Outside of her volunteer role, Connie is a mom of two, full-time elementary school teacher, and has a pack of her own four dogs. She almost always has a foster houseguest (or two) and she wouldn’t have it any other way!

DANA, Councilor

My name is Dana, and I volunteer with Trust Rescue, dedicating my time to ensure every dog finds a loving, suitable forever home. As a Counselor, I carefully screen applications and interview potential adopters to match the right dog with the right family. With a passion for animals and attention to detail, I assess each applicant's ability to provide a safe, nurturing environment, aiming for a perfect fit that leads to a happy, lifelong bond.

For me, it's not just about finding homes—it's about finding the right homes where dogs will be truly cared for and loved. Volunteering with Trust Rescue is deeply fulfilling, offering the chance to change lives, both for the dogs and their new families. Seeing a dog's transformation from neglected to cherished is incredibly rewarding, and being part of that process fills my heart with pride and joy.

claire, Add/Edit Team and PUPS Program Lead

My name is Claire, and I am a dedicated volunteer with Trust Rescue driven by my passion for animal welfare and community service. I'm a member of the leadership team and the lead of the Add Edit team, which showcases the rescue's adoptable dogs on our website. I've also adopted three Trust dogs, experiencing firsthand the joy of giving a loving home to those in need.

I also am the Lead of the PUPS program. Through the OUR PUPS Program, I educate school children about the importance of rescue, volunteering, and community service, inspiring the next generation of animal advocates. We have recently expanded the program to include the senior population, providing them the opportunity to recollect their past experiences while learning about Trust Rescue, our mission and the importance of volunteering and respect towards animals. My commitment to Trust Rescue stems from the organization's compassionate and supportive nature, which resonates deeply with my values.

As a proud member of the Trust Rescue family, I cherish the camaraderie and shared purpose among volunteers. I believe that our collective efforts are crucial in giving abandoned dogs a second chance at life. With Trust Rescue, I've found a sense of belonging and purpose, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make a difference alongside like-minded individuals.
